Whether it's riding, grooming or simply watching a horse, our programs are tailored to each individual's comfort levels.
The barn is a busy place. There are horses, cats, dogs and other riders around. If sensory issues are a concern, we can schedule times when the barn is a bit more peaceful.

Stablemates is a customized experience for children and young adults with special needs.
Participants who choose to ride can improve range of motion, balance, posture and hand-eye coordination.
Horses can be calming to people and studies show that this provides a lasting reduction in irritability and other positive social and communication impacts.
Parents and caregivers have noticed improved cognitive skills such as concentration and short-term memory.
Children, adolescents and adults suffering from autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, visual and hearing impairment, anxiety disorder, brain injury and behavioral problems are just some of the people that have benefitted from spending time with our horses.
We offer 30 and 60 minute sessions on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.
Yes.
We use our indoor arena or can move outside weather permitting. The barn is not heated, but we do have a heated office if participants require a break from the cold.
Long pants (jeans, leggings, breeches, sweatpants) and closed-toe shoes. We recommend boots with a heel (hiking, muck, rain, cowboy). Tennis shoes are ok. No flip-flops, sandals or open-toe shoes.
Yes. You may bring your own, or you can borrow one of ours.
Yes. We have a porta-potty.
